As frequent visitors to Disneyland Paris with our 3 young children, we have sussed out all the best places to eat with kids! We know exactly where to go when the requests come in for kids’ staples including Mickey Mouse-shaped pizza, ice cream, pasta and fries! If you are planning a trip to Disneyland Paris, read on for our guide on where to eat with kids at Disneyland Paris.

Where to Eat with Kids at Disneyland Paris

First up, let’s set the scene for dining at Disneyland Paris. There are three types of dining locations:

Sit-down restaurants: the sit-down restaurants at Disneyland Paris offer either a fixed menu and table service or a self-service all-you-care-to-eat buffet. These mostly require advance reservations although you can get lucky with last-minute cancellations. Character and Princess dining is offered at a 4 of the sit-down restaurants.

Quick Service Dining: The second option is the quick service restaurants which offer counter service and fast food style dining. The quick service restaurants serve a wide variety of foods.

Food Carts and Shop Snacks: Finally, there are food carts and shops selling snacks and treats across the parks.

Quick Service

The quick service locations are a great option for a fast and laid-back dining experience and there are lots of kid-friendly dishes. The quick-service locations offer some of our kid’s most requested meals including Mickey Mouse Pizza, hot dogs and pasta!

Best places to eat with kids at Disneyland Paris: use mobile ordering through the Disneyland Paris app wherever it is available. It can savea lot of time waiting in line at the quick service restaurants!

Mickey Mouse Pizza

The cheese and tomato-topped Mickey Mouse-shaped pizza is a huge hit with our kids! It’s available from two quick service restaurants in Disneyland Park – Colonel Hathi’s Outpost Restaurant in Adventureland and Bella Notte in Fantasyland.

A children’s version and a larger version of the Mickey Mouse pizza is available in both locations: in Bella Notte, the large pizza comes in both pepperoni and four cheese options while Colonel Hathi’s Outpost Restaurant offers four cheese, chicken and vegetable curry options.

Pizza and Pasta

When our kids request the staples like pizza and pasta we have a few go-to quick-service restaurants:

Bella Notte in Fantasyland: there is rigatoni with Neopolitan sauce and pesto pasta on the kid’s menu as well as the aforementioned Mickey Mouse pizza.

Stark Factory in Avengers Campus (Walt Disney Studios): pizza is cooked to order at Stark Factory and a half portion is available on the children’s menu.

Pasta bowls (Neopolitan, bolognese and macaroni cheese) are offered on the regular menu.

Hot Dogs

Casey’s Corner, located at the end of Main Street U.S.A. is our favorite hog dog stop in the parks. It offers classic, topped and vegan hot dogs. Chicken nuggets and fries are also on the Casey’s Corner menu.

We also love the FAN-tastic Food Truck in the Avengers Campus in Walt Disney Studios where there is a choice of 3 hot dogs (Classic, Incredible and Vegan).

Chips / French Fries

We’re often asked (by both our kids and readers!) where french fries are available in Disneyland Paris! We’ve found them in quite a few dining locations:

Disneyland Park: Casey’s Corner, Toad Hall, Au Chalet de la Marionnette, The Lucky Nugget, Restaurant Hakuna Matata (sweet potato fries), Cafe Hyperion

Walt Disney Studios: PYM (reservations), food truck opposite Tower of Terror or close to the Together: a Pixar Musical theatre in Production Courtyard, Le Rendez-Vous Gourmand food trucks

Village /Onsite Hotels: Chuck Wagon evening buffet at Cheyenne (reservations), Annette’s Diner, McDoanld’s

Chicken Nuggets / Chicken Bites / Chicken Strips

Chicken nuggets are available at Au Chalet de la Marionnette in Fantasyland, Cafe Hyperion in Discoveryland and Casey’s Corner on Main Street U.S.A.

Chicken Strips are served in Casa de Coco and Restaurant Hakuna Matata offers chicken strips and chicken bites.

Sit Down Restaurants

Sit-down restaurants are a great option with kids at Disneyland Paris – they typically offer varied food options or all-you-care-to-eat buffets and are great for some time out during a busy park day. Sit-down meals are included in the meal plans although there may be a surcharge for character dining depending on which meal plan you are on.

Best places to eat with kids at Disneyland Paris: we tend to book a sit-down restaurant every day or second day during our trips. Our kids love the varitey of food and it also gives them a chance to have some downtime and regroup during a busy park day.

With our 3 young kids, we tend to stick to the all-you-care-to-eat buffets. There is a wide variety of foods catering to all their taste and they can decide on their own menu! Of course, the dessert table certainly adds to their allure!

The menus can sometimes be challenging at fixed-menu restaurants although most do offer a pasta and tomato sauce dish. It can be hard to find suitable choices if you have a fussy eater or need to cater to allergies or dietary requirements – one of our children is dairy-free and has been offered plain pasta on occasion, not exactly what they had in mind for a meal out!

Character Dining

Character dining is always a favourite with our kids irrespective of the food on offer!

There are 4 options for character dining at Disneyland Paris and all are buffet-style, all-you-care-to-eat restaurants. In Disneyland Park, breakfast and dinner at Plaza Gardens are both character dining experiences as are lunch and dinner at the Royal Banquet in the Disneyland Hotel.

1 | Dinner at Plaza Gardens

Our kids always enjoy the buffet-style character dinner at Plaza Gardens. There is a wide variety of dishes with lots of options for starters, mains, and desserts.

For mains, there is usually a roast of the day, chicken, some pasta options, and some casserole-style dishes. Fish options include Shrimp, langoustines, mackerel, and smoked salmon and there are usually some sea snails available too.

Sides include bread rolls, Mickey-shaped roast potatoes, rice, risotto, and mixed vegetables. There is a selection of salads and dressings with smoked salmon, mackerel, and fish terrine.

The dessert selection is always excellent and there is usually a lovely variety of sweet treats.

The typical character lineup is Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Pluto, Goofy, Eeeyore, and Tigger but, recently, there have been days when the character lineup doesn’t include Mickey Mouse or Minnie Mouse – for example, on a recent visit in August 2024 we had Pluto, Eeyore, Tigger, Captain Hook and Chip and Dale.

2 | Lunch and Dinner at Royal Banquet

The buffet-style banquet consists of a lavish fish table, cooked meats and vegetarian options and a royal-themed dessert table. There are even some Fleur de Lys-shaped vegetables on offer.

Lunch and dinner are very similar and are priced the same although dinner tends to have lobster on the menu. The character lineup is typically Mickey Mouse and Minne Mouse at all meals and they are joined by either Donald Duck and Daisy Duck or Goofy and Pluto.

3 | Breakfast at Plaza Gardens

The buffet breakfast is very good and includes a wide selection of hot and cold items. You can find the ever-popular Mickey Mouse waffles alongside the pastries and pancakes. Geppetto, Pinocchio, Tigger, Captain Hook and Mr Smee are regular guests at the Plaza Garden Breakfast and, if you are extremely lucky, Stitch might pop in (it’s rare but it did happen a few mornings in Summer 2024!).

You can check out our full guide to character dining at Disneyland Paris for a low down of the food options and characters at each meal.

Princess Dining

If your kids are in their Princess Era then we highly recommend Princess Dining at Auberge de Cendrillion where a Princess breakfast and lunch/dinner are served in the company of the Disney Princesses. If you are a guest of the Disneyland Hotel, there is also an exclusive Princess dining experience at Table de Lumiere.

4 | Princess Dining at Auberge De Cendrillion

Princess Dining is extremely popular at Disneyland Paris as it’s one of the only opportunities to meet the Princesses – the alternative is the Princess Pavillion where guests can meet one princess and wait times are typically over 90 minutes.

Auberge de Cendrillion offers a fixed menu at both breakfast and dinner and, while we love Princess Dining, my kids are most definitely there for the Princesses! I think the menu is great but my children will only eat a few bites of pasta and the dessert at best.

Breakfast is a great option as regular breakfast dishes are served and our children tend to eat most of it. It’s also less expensive than lunch/dinner. There’s also a cute Cinderella waffle included in the main! The tradeoff is that you will usually meet a maximum of 3 Princesses at breakfast compared to 4 and Cinderella’s mice later in the day.

Kids dining at Disneyland Paris tip: I usually reserve Auberge for just myself and my daughters as we are huge Princess fans. My 6-year-old is into fast rides and Star Wars so he has some time with his dad in the parks while we dine – they have fun and we only have to pay for 3 meals rather than 5 if we all attended!

Cinderella and typically 3 (dinner) / 2 (breakfast) other Princesses with Suzy and Perla, Cinderella’s mice, joining the lunch and dinner sessions.

4 | Table de Lumiere

Exclusive to Disneyland Hotel guests, Table de Lumiere is a fine dining restaurant in Disneyland Hotel.

Similar to Auberge de Cendrillion, my young kids are more interested in the Royal guests than the food! The kid’s menu runs at 60 Euro and, although they don’t eat much, it’s such a beautiful dining experience that we don’t mind! Recently, a pasta and tomato sauce dish and a cheese and turkey toasted sandwich have been added to the children’s menu which gives some extra options!

Belle holds court with Prince Adam at Table de Lumiere. They are accompanied by two other Royal couples: we had Ariel and Prince Eric and Aurora and Prince Phillip on our most recent visit. Snow White and Prince Florian, Cinderella and Prince Charming and Tiana and Prince Naveen have also been in attendance.

All-You-Care-to-Eat Buffets

The all-you-care-to-eat buffets are a fantastic option with kids at Disneyland Paris as you are sure to find something to suit everyone’s tastes.

If you are staying onsite or at Disney Davy Crockett Ranch, the Disney hotels all offer excellent evening buffets (the Disneyland Hotel is character dining as I’ve described above) – you can still dine at at the hotels even if you are not staying. You can usually get same-day reservations at the hotel buffets except for Downtown Restaurant at Hotel New York – it’s one of the hardest reservations to get in all of Disneyland Paris and it books up months in advance!

There are also some buffet dining options in the parks and in Disney Village.

Our kids are huge fans and are pretty excited by the prospect of the Disneyland Paris buffets, no doubt it’s partly due to the desserts!

We tend to eat at the hotel in which we are staying for convenience – Cape Cod at Newport Bay, the Chuck Wagon at Cheyenne and Downtown at the Marvel are our favorites but they are all really good.

In the parks, PYM Kitchen in the Avengers Campus in Walt Disney Studios is a favorite with our kids – the theming of the food is really fun and the giant burgers and pretzels are tasty and a novelty! There is a pasta station and a children’s section with fries and mini burgers.

Snacks and Sweet Treats

These are some of our kids favourite snacks and sweet treats at Disneyland Paris:

Ice Cream

Ice cream is the perfect summer day snack at Disneyland Paris!

Our kids love all ice cream treats in the parks – the ice cream from the March Hare is our 5-year-old’s favourite and our 2-year-old loves the Frozen Snowflake cone (this is a prepackaged cone) from the Old Mill, both in Fantasyland.

Mickey Mouse Waffles

There’s no denying that everything tastes better when it is shaped like Mickey Mouse and the Mickey Mouse waffles are a popular snack at Disneyland Paris. Their availability depends on when you visit as they tend to move around different quick-service locations Mickey Mouse Waffles are also served at the hotel buffet breakfasts.

Sweet Treats

Boardwalk Candy on Main Street U.S.A. is our go-to for sweet treats – it is currently closed for refurbishment so La Confiserie des Trois Fées in Fantasyland is the best alternative. The counter is filled with freshly baked treats, many of which are Mickey and Minnie-shaped!

The colourful lollies are hands down our kid’s favourite treat at Disneyland Paris. The lollies are available in a variety of themes including Mickey and Minnie Mouse and Star Wars.

Popcorn

Popcorn is widely available from popcorn carts throughout the parks and it is one of the most popular snacks in Disneyland Paris.

You can also purchase some cute popcorn buckets from the carts – our current favourites are Cinderella’s Carriage and the Minnie Mouse popcorn bucket.

Themed Snacks

There are some awesome Star Wars-themed snacks in Disneyland Park. The Darth Vader and Stormtrooper Waffles from Rocket Cafe and the Biscuit Grogu from Cool Station in Discoveryland are all fantastic.

The Cars Croque McQueen from Laugh’N’ Go! in Walt Disney Studios is another favourite. Market House Deli and Vicotria’s Homestyle Restaurant offer delicious Stitch and Donald Duck’s sweet treats – the mini cake is a mix of cheesecake, vanilla cream and sponge cake.

Disney Village

There is a McDonald’s in the Disney Village which serves up all the usuals. Annettes Diner and Rainforest Cafe are also good options with children.
